We’re Lauren and Josh Klassen, the husband-and-wife duo behind Studio Sixteen Inc. While we’ve been officially working together for about five years, in reality it’s been a full-time partnership since the day we said “I do.” With nearly 100 projects completed side by side, our journey has been built on creativity, craftsmanship, and a whole lot of love.
What started as Lauren pursuing her love for interiors and Josh leaving his teaching career to bring those visions to life has grown into a business built on creativity, quality, and heart. With Josh’s deep respect for true craftsmanship and Lauren’s eye for thoughtful, inspired design, we’ve built a company that blends beauty with integrity. Together, we’re a powerful team; designing spaces, building dreams.

As co-founder and general contractor, Josh oversees every project from planning to completion. With years of hands-on experience and expertise across the trades, he serves as site supervisor, ensuring quality craftsmanship and smooth operations on every build.
Lauren Klassen
Co-Founder & Principal Designer
Lauren leads the design side of Studio Sixteen with creativity and vision. As principal designer, she works closely with clients to craft spaces that are both beautiful and functional, blending style with a sense of home
Jay Trommel
Project Manager & CFO
Jay wears many hats at Studio Sixteen, balancing project management, estimating, and financial operations. Whether coordinating budgets, schedules, or lending a hand on site, he ensures projects run efficiently and clients are well supported.

Sophie brings fresh creativity to the team as a young designer. While completing her university studies, she supports design projects with new ideas, detailed work, and a growing passion for interiors.
